On September 17, 2025, American Property Management proudly hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for The Foundry, a new multifamily apartment community located in the vibrant Totem Lake neighborhood of Kirkland, Washington. This event marked more than just the beginning of construction, it signaled a new chapter in how property management companies can lead with innovation, community engagement, and long-term vision.
This groundbreaking was the first of many to come for American Property Management, setting the tone for future developments. By hosting this event, we aimed to generate excitement not only for the community but also within the industry, showcasing how property management can be a proactive force in shaping urban growth.
The ceremony brought together key stakeholders including executives from American Capital Group, American Home Builders, ACG Financial, ACG Development, and local city officials. This cross-sector collaboration highlights the importance of unified efforts in bringing large-scale housing projects to life.
The Foundry will feature 453 thoughtfully designed units, with 20% dedicated to affordable housing, reflecting a growing industry trend toward inclusivity and accessibility. As property managers, we recognize the importance of balancing upscale living with community needs, and The Foundry is a prime example of that commitment.
Benjamin Kuula, CEO of American Capital Group, shared insights into the journey behind The Foundry:
“This has been a 3-and-a-half-year labor of love. We purchased this project back at the end of 2021, beginning of 2022, and spent the last few years securing entitlements and raising capital. We’re thrilled to begin construction and bring this vision to life.”
American Property Management exemplifies how property management companies can evolve from operational roles to strategic leaders in development. By aligning with developers, financial partners, and city planners, we are not just managing properties, we are shaping communities.
